OUR PROJECTS
He Whānau Mārama Trust, through the Shine on Kaitaia project and with support from donors and many other generous contributors from the communities we serve, has successfully put on major events in Kaitaia and surrounding districts. Some events have been in collaboration with other trusts and organisations including:
- Children's Day
- Movies in the Park
- Games and Art in the Park Events
- Kite Day
- Far North's Got Talent
- Community Clean Ups
- 3x3 Basketball Comps and Gaming tournaments at local parks/centres/halls
- Christmas in the Park
- Annual Kaitaia Christmas Float Parade
- Petitioned Council for support to; improve streetlighting, address shortfalls in CCTV monitoring and surveillance and improving community patrols
- Community Murals Project
- Jaycee and Centennial Park Development Project
- and many more
